A Limited Edition InterMountain Railway Company Bi-Level Auto Rack painted for freelance model railroad Virginian and Ohio (Large Lettering)!
The Home Shops Virginian and Ohio auto rack by InterMountain Model Railway Company comes in two attractive paint scheme variants. The first scheme features large Virginian & Ohio lettering displayed across two panels. The second scheme is streamlined with the Virginian & Ohio lettering stylishly positioned on a single panel.
Both versions have silver panels in a V&O blue rack on a matching V&O blue flatcar. The large lettering version represents an earlier scheme in the series V&O 47600-V&O 47699 while the smaller lettering scheme represents a move towards design efficiency. These cars are situated in the number series V&O 47700-V&O 47799.
Allen McClelland was a pioneer in the model railroad world. Not only was he a visionary as an inspirational freelance model railroader, but Allen was also very talented with regards to operational ingenuity to make the railroad run well. A master of illusion, he actually shortened a V&O auto rack on his railroad so that it could successfully negotiate tight curves on his layout!
The Home Shops Virginian and Ohio auto racks are to-scale full versions that pay tribute to Allen McClelland and all that he has done for our great hobby. Designed to blend in with similar models of prototype railroads, these cars will look amazing shipping vehicles on your model railroad!
