A Limited Edition Tangent Scale Models GSC 86' Double Plug Door Box Car painted for freelance model railroad Natchez Trace and Orient! Road Number Variant: NTO 573261.
Bathed in "Tedder Green," this car is decorated for freelance model railroad Natchez Trace and Orient. This railroad is one of the roads that make up the freelance "Meridian Speedway" creation of Home Shops founder Christopher Palmieri! You can learn more about this freelance concept by visiting www.MeridianSpeedway.net.
This railroad plays a vital role in international commerce. The pool code "GRA" stenciled on the car indicates that it is assigned to the General Motors factory in Ramos Arizpe, Coahuila, Mexico!
This car was produced exclusively for Home Shops by Tangent Scale Models as part of their January 2023 release. The 1977-1978 Greenville Steel Car Company car body is the prototype offered in this run, so all cars will have a Built Date within that range. The most notable feature of this production range is five grab irons on each side--previous designs only had four.
As with all Tangent cars you will find them laden with many fine details and extremely crisp paint edges. Be sure to take out the magnifying glass and read the unique trust stenciling! Metal wheels, scale metal Kadee couplers, and rotating journal endcaps are standard on all cars in this release.
