A Limited Edition InterMountain Railway Company Evans 100 Ton Steel Coil Car painted for freelance model railroad Davies Steel Corporation!
The sprawling Davies Steel Corporation mill was the centerpiece of the late Dean Freytag's storied model railroad. The common carrier component of his freelance model railroad empire was Dean's own South Ridge Lines. The SRL operated under the umbrella of the Cardinal System which incorporated four other member freelance model railroads.
All of the above Freytag creations have been written about extensively over the years. There are even several searchable videos on YouTube for those who want to learn more. The coil car in this release is a brilliant red with orange hoods. The word "DAVIES" is prominently displayed on each component. This sharp looking car will look great on your layout while bringing a significant component of model railroad history to life!
The built date for this car is 6-1969 and this model represents the car in its "as delivered" appearance.
