A Limited Edition Tangent Scale Models GSC 86' Double Plug Door Box Car painted for freelance model railroad Chinook Lines! Road Number Variant: CHNK 864006.
Created by Joe Bohannon, the Chinook Lines is a Pacific Northwest based freelance model railroad with Milwaukee Road heritage. Resplendent in the rich Milwaukee Road "Federal Yellow" paint, the car is hi-lighted by a massive Chinook Lines "Bear Paw" logo on black doors. With all the detail parts on the doors, this would be a challenge to custom paint and decal! While supplies last, however, this stunning car can be part of your fleet!
Assigned to the hauling of Fibre Products, the bold MAXI-CUBE logo, STS logo, and large XP banner are visual features that set this car apart from the rest.
This car is painted to represent a second-hand car, purchased and repainted by the Chinook Lines in the series CHNK 864000-CHNK 864050. Be sure to take a look at the "Chinook Lines: Model Railroad" Facebook page to see more content!
This car was produced exclusively for Home Shops by Tangent Scale Models as part of their January 2023 release. The 1977-1978 Greenville Steel Car Company car body is the prototype offered in this run, so all cars will have a Built Date within that range. The most notable feature of this production range is five grab irons on each side--previous designs only had four.
As with all Tangent cars you will find them laden with many fine details and extremely crisp paint edges. Be sure to take out the magnifying glass and read the unique trust stenciling! Metal wheels, scale metal Kadee couplers, and rotating journal endcaps are standard on all cars in this release.
