About the Kansas Pacific
Railroad Story
My name is Anthony Lorch and I am the creator and owner of the Kansas Pacific Railroad. I am 53 years old, a professional railroader by trade and have been modeling since I was a young boy. The Utah Belt was my complete influence on my way to the freelance world. Around 2008 I meet Hank Stephens, owner of the Georgia Road, on the Diesel Detailer web page. Getting to know him helped make the KP what it is today. His artwork brought my visions to reality and he is still helping today. I have no layout yet but I am hoping to get something started soon.
The Kansas Pacific started in 1863 and has grown thru the years to reach the west coast at Los Angeles and north to the Powder River Basin with a southern reach into Texas. Mergers occurred with the New Mexico & Central Colorado in 1985 and the Royal Gorge and Southern in 1995. There are NO real railroads in my world, only freelance ones.
