About the Fort Worth, Temple & Gulf
The Fort Worth, Temple and Gulf Railroad is a proto-freelanced line set in the 1980’s and 1990’s. It runs from Fort Worth through Temple to Houston and interchanges with the Santa Fe, Missouri-Kansas-Texas and Union Pacific. Motive power is a mix of first- and second-generation Electro Motive Division units, including GP35, GP38-2, SD40-2 and SDP45 models. The layout is nearing the completion of a years-long project to expand its main line to double track. All of the track is installed and powered, and now the revised signal system is being installed.
